Hourly Rate: 13.19 per hour
Weekly Rota: Weekly Rotas for Monday's - Sunday's.

Opus People Solution are recruiting on behalf of our Client, West Northampton Council, for a dedicated and reliable Cook to join our team at Turn Furlong - Recovering Independence Beds (RIBU), providing essential support in the kitchen for vulnerable and elderly adults within our Residential Home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of meals for vulnerable and elderly adults.
  • Cook meals for the residents.
  • Create menus of nutritious meals for the residents.
  • Adhere to precautions towards food intolerances and allegories.
  • Distribute meals to residents.
  • Clean up after meals, ensuring all work top and equipment areas are tidy and sanitized
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, including cleaning utensils and equipment
  • Follow all policies and procedures in line with West Northampton Council standards.


Essential Experience and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a residential home kitchen is preferred.
  • 12 months minimum experience as a Kitchen Cook.
  • Experience in similar kitchen roles is beneficial
  • Food Hygiene, Food Safety and Health and Safety Level 2 (minimum) required.
  • NVQ or equivalent qualifications in Catering is preferred.
  • Ability to commit to working onsite.
  • An Enhanced DBS check is required, if you don't have one, we will process it for you.
  • Availability to start as soon as possible is beneficial.
