A Mechanical Estimator position is available in Northampton with a salary range of c£60k - £65k.
The role requires the preparation of mechanical estimates for various MEPH projects, including time, cost, materials, and labor.
Candidates should have experience working for leading M&E subcontractors and possess a strong background in Mechanical (HVAC) systems.
Responsibilities include liaising with clients and suppliers, analyzing quotations, and customizing tender submissions.
The ideal candidate should have relevant experience, preferably several years in the field, to efficiently handle the estimating process.

Mechanical Estimator - Northampton - c£60k - £65k

I am urgently seeking a Mechanical Estimator to assist with the delivery of MEPH projects.

You will prepare mechanical estimates for time, cost, materials, schedule of rates and labour. Liaise with clients, consultants and other personnel and formulate estimates and resolve issues.Prepare mechanical estimates and prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers and subcontractorsMeet the client as necessary to discuss their requirements and advise accordingly

You will send out enquiries to suppliers and sub-contractors.Take-off the drawings and input into Estimation software.Carry out an analysis of received quotations to ensure the equipment / specialist is compliant with the tender information.Complete a tender analysis including preliminary costs.Take the master tender letter and summary and customise them to suit the requirements of the submission and more importantly incorporate any specific clarifications that are poignant.Preferably you will have worked for another leading M&E sub contractors before and will have a strong Mechanical (HVAC) background.
