Remote / Hybrid BI Developer Required

Our Northamptonshire based client seeks an experienced and driven BI Developer with the following must have skills and experience:

Min of 4-5 years in a similar BI / Data driven role

Essential skills and experience

  • Proficient in SQL with a preferred minimum of 4+ years’ experience in a SQL development focused role
  • Knowledge of Designing data structures and models
  • Proven experience creating data visualisation using tools such as Power BI and SSRS
  • Hands on experience working with ETL packages and tools like SSIS
  • Superb Problem detection and resolution skills
  • Mathematically competent
  • A passion for continuous learning
  • Desirable but not essential: working knowledge of Excel with familiarity using VBA

Role and responsibilities :

  • Spearheading system improvement projects and contributing to the continued development of both existing and new solutions.
  • Playing a pivotal role in shaping our database design and refining data processes.
  • Using ETL applications such as SSIS to edit and create data pipeline tasks.
  • Implementing the creation and modification of data sets and reports using Power BI and SSRS.
  • Effectively communicating with business customers, catering to various levels of technical knowledge.
  • Proactively identifying and resolving issues within existing systems through collaborative team efforts.
  • Addressing business data requests by creating SQL queries.
  • Documenting system changes and adding comments to the existing code base.
  • Updating project documentation and ticket requests via online tools such as Monday.com.
  • Performing essential Database Maintenance Tasks.
