Overview
We are seeking a talented CAD/CAM Programmer with expertise in using Hypermill software for programming 3-axis machines, as well as experience with 4 & 5 axis machining. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Utilize Hypermill CAD/CAM software to program 3-axis machines for efficient and accurate component machining
- Generate programs for 4 & 5 axis machining, ensuring precision and adherence to project requirements
- Collaborate with the manufacturing team to optimize toolpaths and develop efficient machining strategies
- Perform post-processing and debugging of CNC programs to ensure seamless machine operation
- Stay updated on industry advancements and best practices to continuously improve machining processes
Qualifications
- Proven experience in programming using Hypermill CAD/CAM software for 3-axis machines
- Familiarity with 4 & 5 axis machining techniques and toolpath optimization
- Knowledge of Siemens controls is advantageous
- Strong understanding of machining fundamentals and CNC operations
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Day-to-day
- Collaborating with the manufacturing team to understand project requirements
- Programming and optimizing toolpaths using Hypermill CAD/CAM software
- Troubleshooting and debugging CNC programs as needed
- Communicating with supervisors and colleagues to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines
Rate
The rate for this position will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
