The Role & Responsibilities of an Electrical Design Engineer:
You will be required to use AutoCAD Electrical to generate the following:
- Panel layouts and BOMs
- LV distribution and cable calculations
- Electrical schematic diagrams
- Instrument loop diagrams
- PLC wiring diagrams and I/O schedules
- Machinery safety circuit design and risk assessments to BS EN ISO 13849/60261
- Technical documents
Skills and Experience required for an Electrical Design Engineer:
- Previous PLC, HMI, and SCADA software writing experience (3 years)
- Good understanding of industrial networks (Profibus, Profinet, etc)
- Any experience in safety systems design and programming would be highly advantageous
- Knowledge of Siemens PLC preferred
- Able to understand electrical drawings
- Experience working in an engineering environment
