We are recruiting for an Electrical Engineer to work for a company who specialise in Wire Harnesses for the automotive industry. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be assembling and testing wire harnesses used in various electronic products. You will be responsible for ensuring that wire harnesses meet quality standards, are free of defects, and function as intended. If you have a keen eye for detail, are skilled in wiring and electrical components, and enjoy working in a dynamic team environment, we want to hear from you.

Salary: 25,000 - 28,000

Location: Northampton

Hours: 8am - 4:30pm (Monday-Friday)

Responsibilities:

  • Build wire harnesses according to engineering specifications and wiring diagrams.
  • Ensuring accuracy and precision for all wired components.
  • Identify and select appropriate wires, connectors, terminals, and other components.
  • Perform thorough visual inspections and functional tests on completed products.
  • Maintain accurate records of all assembly work, including wiring diagrams, component lists, and test results.
  • Identify and resolve any issues or defects as welll as making necessary adjustments or repairs.
  • Work closely with engineers, designers, and other team members to address technical challenges.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with wiring or within a similar manufacturing industry.
  • The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is beneficial.
  • An interest in the automotive or electronics industry is beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
