Permanent role

SRG is working with a global FMCG product testing company who pride themselves on customer service and provide various product services to their clients. They provide consumer product testing, certification and consulting on the quality and safety of products to manufacturers, distributors and retailers. Their expertise encompasses a multitude of national and international specifications & regulations. They require an Electrical Technologist to perform the necessary regulatory testing and document collation of retailer electrical goods.

Role/Description:

  • Take ownership of relevant areas of responsibility to meet business needs.
  • Log samples on the Critical Path and ensure they meet requirements.
  • Measure samples and complete workbooks as required.
  • Maintain Critical Path deadlines through supplier monitoring.
  • Check artwork against product information and provide feedback.
  • Maintain artwork status on the critical path.
  • Check physical packaging samples against approved artwork.
  • Scan and check packaging of production samples and provide feedback.
  • Keep detailed and accurate records of all communications.
  • Build positive and effective relationships with buying teams and suppliers.
  • Attend retailer meetings as required.
  • Perform any other reasonable tasks to support the business.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in a similar role within Quality management or manufacturing environment
  • Understanding of product sealing procedures and critical path management.
  • Experience working with retailers, brands, buying and sourcing offices, vendors, suppliers, and factories.
  • Have to be able to work at a very fast pace
  • Good understanding of electrical regulation
  • Understanding of creating Declarations of Compliance and Conformity
  • Understanding of what tests must be performed before products go to the UK market
