About the Role:

We are seeking an HV Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic Customer Networks Team. This role involves managing and delivering maintenance, remedial, and project activities on customer network sites. You will also provide SAP support for major project construction schemes, working closely with the Major Projects team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver HV maintenance, remedial, and project activities on customer networks.
  • Act as the primary contact for all HV-related matters.
  • Ensure activities are delivered safely, cost-effectively, and to a high standard.
  • Support the planning of major project construction activities.
  • Maintain "Senior Authorised Person" status through ongoing training and audits.
  • Participate in the Senior Authorised Persons standby rota and provide initial fault response.
  • Support the tendering process by conducting site surveys, pricing, and scope writing.

Day-to-Day Duties:

  • Performing SAP duties and electrical engineering tasks.
  • Plan and manage small projects.
  • Coordinate with customers to agree on outages and work programmes.
  • Conduct site surveys and develop pricing plans.
  • Work on various projects including asset replacement, cable installation, and renewable energy sites.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Electrical experience on 11kV / 33kV networks.
  • Electrical qualification (HNC/HND minimum).
  • Experience as a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) to 11kV / 33kV.
  • Knowledge of HV protection and earths.
  • Recent SAP course completion (within the last 3 years).
  • IOSH/NEBOSH and CDM qualifications are desirable.
