Here at Impact Recruitment, we are hiring a Wireman for one of our clients in Northampton. As a Wire Harness Technician, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process by assembling and testing wire harnesses used in various electronic products. You will be responsible for ensuring that wire harnesses meet quality standards, are free of defects, and function as intended. If you have a keen eye for detail, are skilled in wiring and electrical components, and enjoy working in a dynamic team environment, we want to hear from you.

Salary: 25,000 - 30,000

Location: Northampton

Hours: 8am - 4:30pm

Responsibilities:

  • Build wire harnesses according to engineering specifications and wiring diagrams, ensuring accuracy and precision.
  • Identify and select appropriate wires, connectors, terminals, and other components for each wire harness assembly.
  • Perform thorough visual inspections and functional tests on completed wire harnesses to ensure they meet quality standards and are free of defects.
  • Maintain accurate records of all wire harness assembly work, including wiring diagrams, component lists, and test results.
  • Identify and resolve any issues or defects in wire harnesses, making necessary adjustments or repairs.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment and prevent accidents.
  • Work closely with engineers, designers, and other team members to address technical challenges and improve product quality.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with wiring or within a similar manufacturing industry.
  • The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is beneficial.
  • An interest in the automotive or electronics industry is beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
