The Role

We are seeking a skilled Domestic Electrician to join North Northamptonshire Council's team. In this role, you will carry out maintenance, repair, and installation work across council-owned properties, ensuring safety and compliance with all relevant electrical regulations. You will be key in providing efficient and high-quality electrical services to our residents.

Key responsibilities:

Perform electrical installations, repairs, and routine maintenance in domestic properties.
Diagnose and rectify electrical faults promptly and effectively.
Ensure all work complies with current regulations, including BS7671 Wiring Regulations.
Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
Provide excellent customer service and ensure minimal disruption to residents.

The Candidate

We are looking for a qualified Domestic Electrician who is proactive, reliable, and focused on delivering excellent results.

Requirements:

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
Experience in domestic electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance.
Full UK driving license (essential).
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable:

Inspection and Testing (2391 or equivalent) qualification.
Experience in social housing or local authority environments.
