A creative technical design agency is looking for a Junior Development Designer to join their team. They are looking for someone who ideally has industry placement experience in development design within the retail display and/or shop fitting industry with a good appreciation of manufacturing processes and materials.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop technical drawings from creative concept sketches ensuring desired cost and manufacturing parameters are met.
Producing drawings, specifications and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for manufacture of prototypes and production rollouts.
React to project alterations and adjust in a timely manner.
Involvement with the Design Manager at briefing stage to understand and agree brief and expedite the project management responsibilities from a development perspective.
Support Project Manager on supplier briefs, test builds and equipment installations where necessary
Technical Skills and Experience:
Experience in development design within the retail display and/or shop fitting industry.
Proven experience with SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD.
A good appreciation of the relevant manufacturing processes and materials with continuous personal development.
