Join TemplemoreCare Home in Northamptonas an Assistant Manager, where you'll play a crucial role in supporting the Home Manager in the day-to-day management of the home.

Key Responsibilities of an Assistant Manager:

  • Assist the Manager and Deputy Manager in the efficient and caring running of the home.
  • Supervise and lead the staff team, ensuring a supportive and collaborative working environment.
  • Engage in direct care on a day-to-day basis, fostering a hands-on approach.
  • Report directly to the Home Manager or their appointed representative, performing all duties as outlined in the employment contract.

Duties in the Manager/Deputy Manager's Absence:

  • Ensure the home operates to high standards and meets the requirements of proprietors, Local Authorities, Social Services, and Fire Prevention Officers.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of appropriate staff training.
  • Take responsibility for the medication system, including ordering, recording, administration, and disposal.
  • Assist in maintaining optimal staffing levels and the correct staff mix.

Essential Skills, Characteristics, and Experience:

  • Must hold at least an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
  • Experience in dementia care.
