Executive Assistant - Property Development - Northampton

£35,000 - £38,000 per year

Hays is representing a leading, exceptional client in Northampton, seeking a highly skilled and proactive Executive Assistant to join their thriving Property Development business.This is an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of a dynamic team of 28 professionals, working across various disciplines in newly refurbished, modern offices. You will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Development Director (Head of the Northampton office), Finance Director, Development Director, and Associate Development Director, as well as ad-hoc support to the wider team.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced and passionate EA who can build strong relationships, manage complex priorities, and communicate effectively. You will be a natural problem-solver, self-motivated, and eager to learn about business. As part of the Business Support Team, you will collaborate with EAs in Manchester and Northampton to ensure the smooth operation of the Property Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diary & Travel Management: Organise complex diaries, schedule meetings, and arrange travel (including international).
  • Email Management: Prioritise and manage email correspondence.
  • Expense Processing: Process expenses and handle ad-hoc administrative tasks for Directors.
  • Event Management: Lead the organisation of corporate events, company away days, and other events for the Northampton office.
  • Meeting Coordination: Manage internal meeting logistics, ensuring equipment readiness and providing hospitality.
  • Site & Launch Event Attendance: Attend site meetings and launch events as required.
  • General Administrative Support: Provide ad-hoc support as needed.
  • Project Support: Contribute to projects and initiatives that support business objectives.

Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum 2 years of EA experience supporting Executive-level Directors.
  • Proven ability to build trust and strong relationships.
  • Excellent team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Strong organisational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication, diplomacy, and integrity.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and locations.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and proofreading skills.
  • Experience handling highly confidential information.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
  • Experience with SharePoint (advantageous).
  • Commitment to personal development and staying current with EA best practices.
  • Full, clean driving licence.
  • Flexibility to travel to Manchester or London offices occasionally.
