Macildowie are recruiting a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join their finance team on a 12-month Fixed-Term Contract. This role offers the opportunity to work from either our Northampton or Birmingham office. What you'll do
- Produce month-end reporting, including KPIs, and provide detailed variance analysis of budget / forecasts v actuals with accompanying commentary.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support scenario analysis and long-term business planning of impacts and opportunities.
- Prepare and delivery of annual budgets and regular forecasting, including comprehensive explanatory notes.
- Conduct profitability analyses and produce ad hoc reports, including deep-dive investigations into key areas of business performance.
- Work closely with the finance leadership team, including the CFO, to provide detailed financial insights and resolve any queries.
- Coordinate with operational divisions to help deliver strategic goals.
What you'll need
- Demonstrable experience of an FP&A role within Financial Services sector.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.
- A self-starter with the ability to work independently but also collaborate effectively within a team.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and logical manner.
- A high level of commercial awareness and attention to detail.
- ACCA / CIMA qualified or part-qualified.
- Experience in SAP and financial analysis tools is desirable but not essential.
