FP&A Analyst

The Accountancy & Finance Division at The ONE Group is partnering with a profitable, PE-backed business to recruit an experienced and qualified FP&A Analyst. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to shaping the company's financial strategy through insightful analysis and reporting. You will collaborate closely with senior finance stakeholders and the C-suite to support decision-making and drive key strategic growth initiatives. Reporting directly to the FP&A Manager, your expertise will be instrumental in enhancing the company's financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes, ensuring the organisation stays agile and well-informed as it grows.

Key Responsibilities As an FP&A Analyst, your primary duties will include:

  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to analyse financial trends, forecast future opportunities, and provide strategic insights.
  • Influencing business strategies and project outcomes by providing actionable financial and commercial guidance.
  • Identifying risks and opportunities, and recommending strategic actions to senior leadership.
  • Presenting monthly financial performance insights to senior leadership, backed by robust analysis.
  • Leading operational business performance analysis, highlighting risks to targets and offering commercial and financial rationale.
  • Managing the projection of key operational metrics for annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
  • Owning financial deliverables in alignment with the organisation's business targets.
  • Developing and maintaining detailed financial models to assess key data points.
  • Preparing commercial reports and presentations for leadership, investors, and the Board.
  • Providing actionable insights on operational activities across the organisation.
  • Conducting ad-hoc analysis to offer detailed perspectives on business performance.
  • Delivering weekly and monthly performance updates to business management, investors, and the Board, focusing on portfolio performance.

Skills & Attributes To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualifications & Experience: Part-Qualified or Newly Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with proven experience in financial reporting, planning, and analysis.
  • Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to delivering accurate and reliable financial outputs.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to independently manage and successfully drive projects to completion.
  • Analytical Skills: Advanced financial analysis and reporting skills, with a strong understanding of business performance metrics and problem-solving abilities.
  • Stakeholder Management: Expertise in engaging with senior stakeholders, blending commercial acumen with operational insights to influence key decisions.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, enabling you to effectively collaborate and present findings.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial modelling, advanced Excel capabilities, and a track record of developing insightful financial reports.
