We are excited to announce that we are currently working exclusively with an amazing retail business based just south of Northampton to recruit for a Senior Finance Analyst position!

This role will be covering the currently Senior Finance Analyst while they are on maternity leave, however it was on the cards that this person was going to move into a more senior role in the near future so they are seeing this role as a trial period and if the person fits the team well they are planning on taking the role permanent!

Key responsibilities:

  • Providing support to the Financial Controller with reporting activities
  • Monitoring, tracking and reporting on business performance
  • Reviewing budgets and forecast figures, working on reforecasts where necessary
  • Generating management information to supporting in achieving targets
  • Collaborating with department heads to offer financial insight into business decisions, weighing in and making decisions when necessary
  • Take the lead on month-end, quarter-end and year-end tasks, working alongside colleagues to meet financial deadlines
  • Responsible for presenting finance findings and providing insight into this information
  • Support with business partnering and cost centre control
  • Work collaboratively with the team, utilising a strong eye for detail and adaptive nature to approach each task with a clear head and impressive skill set

Candidate Attributes and Skills:

  • Have previous experience with analysing financial information
  • Have previous experience with presenting this financial information and feeling confident with speaking to key stakeholders and senior members of the business
  • Be currently studying, or be recently finished studying, a relevant qualification such as CIMA or ACCA
  • Be someone who is eager to make a tangible impact on the business, where all your skills will be challenged allowing you to grow
  • Be strong on excel, essential skill sets will include V-Lookups and pivot tables
  • Be immediately available, or be on a short notice, this role is looking to start quite quickly so we are needing people that don't need to work a large notice
