Commercial Finance Broker - Based Northamptonshire

Basic salary £35,000 with six a figure uncapped OTE, excellent benefits and a fast-track career programme

My client is seeking experienced Commercial Finance Brokers with a proven track record of working within the consultative financial B2B sales environment.

As a Commercial Finance Broker, you will have experience of working in a consultative sales or business development background and will focus on prospecting for new clients performing outbound sales activity and developing inbound leads through to completion. In addition, you will also perform outbound/renewal activity on lapsed clients.

As a Commercial Finance Broker, you will be a dynamic self-starter who thrives working in a high-pressure environment with the ability to manage and deliver strong results from a sales team whilst also supporting, training, and developing junior sales staff.

You will be highly resilient, able to work under pressure and in a fast-paced corporate environment, who builds stron and effective relationships at all levels including senior stakeholders

Candidate Skills

  • Ideally degree educated or qualified by experience.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely whilst building rapport and trust
  • Customer-centric resilient and entrepreneurial approach to sales; understanding client needs and drivers with the ability to manage objections and remove barriers
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills with experience of using a CRM system
  • Highly organised, able to prioritise your own workload
  • Excellent written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven sales and negotiation skills, with a can-do-attitude
  • Strong commercial acumen with an interest in business
  • Able to work on own initiative as well as being a team player

Duties

  • Build and maintain a pipeline of live opportunities
  • Record all daily sales activity in the CRM system
  • Provide a seamless sales service to new clients via inbound channels from initial enquiry through to sales closure.
  • Conduct outbound sales activity to establish rapport and interest within potential new clients to build a pipeline to secure new business wins
  • Work closely with our panel of lenders to secure client finance documenting key actions and tasks throughout.
  • Have a customer-centric approach to progress clients through our sales process including gathering sales intelligence Good objection handling skills, as well as exploring and promoting up-sell and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Write and prepare proposal documentation and credit applications including working with clients to gather appropriate financial and non-financial paperwork.
