Job Purpose
  • Line manage and develop staff in the accounts team, ensuring high standards are maintained
  • Oversee and review the preparation of statutory accounts (FRS102, FRS102 1A, FRS105) from both computer and manual records
  • Manage and implement accounts workflow procedures, ensuring efficient resource allocation and meeting client deadlines
  • Liaise with clients and ensure all necessary documentation is obtained, supporting the senior team in planning work effectively
  • Report directly to Partners, clearing queries and ensuring client communications are smooth and efficient
  • Handle allocated accounts assignments, including the preparation of corporation tax computations and returns

Candidate Requirements
  • ACCA / ACA qualified with 4-5 years of post-qualification UK practice experience
  • Proven experience in line management and developing teams
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting (UK GAAP)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and produce high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient IT skills, particularly in Excel, and ability to quickly learn new software packages
  • Positive, professional, and a can-do attitude, with a strong sense of teamwork
