Robertson Bell is delighted to partner with a leading education institution to recruit a Deputy Finance Director on a permanent basis. This newly created role presents an exciting opportunity to lead financial operations, improve the quality of financial information, and support key decision-makers across the organisation.

In this role, you will:

  • Oversee financial control and forecasting, ensuring the organisation remains in an outstanding financial position.
  • Lead on financial planning, working closely with key stakeholders to improve scenario planning and the accuracy of projections.
  • Manage and develop the finance team, including the Head of Finance and wider finance function, ensuring a strong customer-focused approach.
  • Act as a key liaison for internal and external audits, ensuring compliance and effective financial governance.
  • Work closely with the Head of Estates to oversee maintenance expenditure and capital projects.
  • Support budget holders across the organisation, ensuring financial information is effectively communicated and understood.
  • Lead the finance business partnering function and drive cultural improvements within the team.
  • Play a critical role in the annual budget-setting process, working closely with senior leadership to align financial planning with organisational goals.
