As a Finance Manager, you'll leverage your expertise to drive financial strategies, streamline processes, and ensure sustainable growth. Our Finance Manager will be pivotal in supporting the business to achieve its exciting growth plans, building on what is already a strong proposition and continuing to be an industry leader in the plumbing, heating and renewable energy market.Key Responsibilities To be the primary point of finance business support to the Commercial Leadership team. This includes provision of financial information to understand daily and weekly trading (and insight into trends), preparation and explanation of monthly board packs, financial appraisal, tracking and review of strategic initiatives and commercial evaluation of business propositions.Help shape and communicate the strategic direction of the businesses local installer customer sector, across the full spectrum of non-gas product categories and the full breadth of customer profiles (from major developer to homeowner). Deliver financial input into investments and cost/benefit analyses to determine key drivers of future value.Lead the core commercial finance team, ensuring that individuals have clear objectives and deliverables and that performance management and development of the individuals are a key priority.  Oversee core finance processes, such as budgeting, forecasts, month end board packs and balance sheet reviews.Drive leading practice in operating within a robust controls framework ensuring high levels of compliance and mitigation of risk.Inspire a culture of continuous improvement across the team delivering efficiency through automation and digitalisation within processesThis is a hybrid-based opportunity with true flexibility to work from home, but you should be within commutable distance of our newly refurbished offices in Crick, NorthamptonshireYou: You’ll live and breathe our passion and hunger to drive forward real change.You’ll be excited to be involved in something new, and will take great pride in the direction and rate at which our business is set to growSkills and competencies Relevant Qualification - CIMA / ACCA / ACAPrevious experience in partnering with stakeholders is essential, as well as line management experience.Advanced knowledge in Excel or Google Sheets.A drive and passion to change the way something has always been done.Solid understanding of commercial finance and margin drivers.It is highly likely you will have worked in any of the following roles and/or markets, and worked with the following products and/or services: Finance Business Partner, Finance Manager, Senior Finance Business Partner , Finance BP, ACCA, CIMA, ACA, Renewables, Sustainability, Construction, Building ProductsUs: From boilers to bathroom suites, tubing to towel rails and everything in between, City Plumbing has all the products our customers need to complete the job.
