Reporting to the Partner, the Financial Accounting Manager will oversee and manage the accounts team, taking the reins and implementing workflow procedures, ensuring clients statutory accounts are maintained to a high standard and adhere to deadlines as well as providing advice and guidance to aid juniors' professional development.

Responsibilities:

  • Line manager of the accounts preparation team, delegating assignments, aiding their professional development and managing workflow processes
  • Involvement in all aspects of accounts preparation, ensuring standards and deadlines are constantly adhered to (primarily FRS102, FRS102 1A, and FRS105)
  • Evolve and develop the accounts team, ensuring that processes are in place and internal resources are efficient and performing

Requirements:

  • A qualified accountant, ACCA or ACA / ICAEW or equivalent, although QBE's with prior experience in an accountancy firm will also be considered
  • IT skills including Excel and any accounting software (Xero, IRIS, QuickBooks, Sage, etc)
  • Previous experience of engaging and supporting clients
