Our client is a rapidly expanding provider of luxury residential and nursing care homes across the UK, who are currently seeking a Group Finance Manager. You will play a pivotal part in shaping the financial landscape of the company during a phase of growth. This a unique role where the client would consider applications from both permanent and contractors, they are keen to ensure they secure the right person for the role.

As the Group Finance Manager, you will be at the forefront of our client's financial operations. You will lead a talented team of both qualified and part-qualified professionals, working closely with Commercial Finance and Transactional Finance teams. Your role will involve producing both internal and external financial reports, managing group FP&A requirements, and serving as a key contact for audit and corporation tax processes. You will also have the opportunity to leave a lasting impact as you help streamline and enhance processes, including the implementation of a new finance system. The successful candidate will enjoy a hybrid working model, with a competitive permanent salary of £65,000 or a day rate equivalent.

  • Production of timely and accurate monthly and annual consolidated financial reporting
  • Leading the month end and year end processes
  • Overseeing the management of the Group's audit process
  • Managing the Group's Corporation Tax process
  • Ensuring accurate and timely VAT submissions
  • Accounting stewardship of various entities including budgeting, ledger management and account reconciliations
  • Reviewing and taking ownership for the intercompany agreement and reconciliation process
  • Producing adhoc and routine reporting submissions required by stakeholders

What you bring:

As the Group Finance Manager, your excellent problem-solving skills, combined with your proven management abilities, will be crucial in driving continuous improvement in processes and procedures. Your strong communication skills will enable you to effectively liaise with various stakeholders within the organisation. Your attention to detail will ensure accuracy in all aspects of your work, from financial reporting to VAT submissions. Your ability to handle pressure will be key in meeting multiple strict deadlines.

  • ACA/ACCA qualified accountant, Big4 trained preferred with 2 years PQE, plus industry experience
  • Experience in a similar role in a large, complex and ideally multi-site business
  • Proven management, communication and leadership skills
  • Drive and ability to continuously improve processes and procedures
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to deliver to multiple strict deadlines under pressure
  • Excellent IT and systems skills
