Head of Finance
Are you a commercially minded finance leader looking to make a real impact? We're looking for a Head of Finance to take ownership of financial operations, reporting, and strategic planning in a fast-paced and growing business.
What You'll Do:
- Financial Strategy & Leadership: Shape and implement the financial strategy to support business growth and profitability.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting process alongside the operational management team, providing insight and challenge where needed.
- Financial Reporting: Deliver timely and accurate monthly financial reporting to the MD and Group, ensuring clarity on business performance.
- Cash Flow & Working Capital: Oversee cash flow forecasting, reporting, and management, ensuring liquidity and financial stability.
- Risk & Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax obligations, and internal controls while identifying and mitigating financial risks.
- Process & Systems Improvement: Drive efficiency through automation, systems transformation, and process improvements.
- Commercial Support: Partner with senior leaders across the business to provide financial insight that supports decision-making, investment, and growth strategies.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the key finance liaison with the Group, external auditors, banks, and other stakeholders.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop a small finance team, ensuring high performance across credit control, payroll, and financial reporting.
What You'll Need:
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified or equivalent experience.
- Experience in a senior finance role, ideally within a fast-moving or growth-focused business.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence and challenge business decisions.
- Experience in cash flow management, statutory reporting, and financial controls.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to develop and mentor a team.
- A hands-on approach, comfortable operating both strategically and operationally.
- Strong stakeholder management experience, including working with senior leadership and external partners.
