We are working with a Housing Association (5,000 units) looking for a Senior Finance Business Partner on a 12-month interim contract to cover maternity.


You will be an experienced people manager with a track record of developing a high performing team driving efficiency in working practices.

Within This Role Your Main Responsibilities Will Include

  • Lead on supporting budget holders to transform their strategic and operational goals into working budgets to facilitate robust financial forecasts.
  • Provision of fit for purpose, timely and accurate corporate reporting to monitor financial targets and tailored to meet the needs of different audiences.
  • Managing a high performing business partnering team in line with the performance management framework.
  • Ensure efficient processes are in place maximising opportunities to automate through effective use of business systems and technology.
  • Supporting the wider finance team to achieve strategic and operational objectives.
  • Representing the finance team in wider corporate projects as required.

What We Are Looking For

Our successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Relevant professional accounting qualification / or QBE.
  • Experience in a senior operational finance role to include responsibility for and development of corporate reporting.
  • Collaboration with budget holders and the wider business to produce robust budgets/reforecasts.
  • Experience of managing / supervising a team.
  • Knowledge of finance including legal, regulatory and operational issues in a housing association or similar context.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret and explain financial information at a corporate level but also have an eye for detail to ensure accuracy.
