Hamilton Woods is seeking an experienced Senior Finance Business Partner with a background in the public sector for a rewarding 12-month fixed-term maternity cover position at a well-established organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Take the lead in assisting budget holders with translating their strategic and operational objectives into actionable budgets that support accurate financial forecasting.
  • Deliver accurate, relevant, and timely corporate reports that effectively track financial targets, customized to suit various stakeholders' needs.
  • Oversee a high-performing business partnering team.
  • Establish streamlined processes that optimize automation opportunities through the strategic use of business systems and technology.
  • Provide support to the broader finance team in achieving both strategic and day-to-day goals.
  • Act as a representative of the finance team on broader corporate initiatives as needed.

Role requirements:

  • A recognized professional accounting qualification or equivalent experience (QBE).
  • Proven experience in a senior-level finance role, including oversight of corporate reporting and its ongoing improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with budget holders and departments across the organization to create reliable budgets and reforecasts.
  • Background in team leadership or supervision.
  • Solid understanding of financial principles, including regulatory, legal, and operational considerations.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Skill in interpreting and presenting financial information at a corporate level, with a keen attention to detail to maintain accuracy.
