Job Purpose

  • Oversee a portfolio of private tax clients, monitoring all commercial aspects of portfolio management
  • Oversee the provision of private tax advisory work and report writing across the team
  • Deliver tax advisory services, working alongside Tax Partner to maximise fee income
  • Supervise work in progress and billing for the department, ensuring compliance at every step
  • Draft detailed reports to provide comprehensive advice to clients
  • Review work completed by juniors, providing constructive feedback and delivering training
  • Build trusted client relationships, proactively handling queries and problem solving
  • Keep up-to-date with tax knowledge, championing knowledge sharing across the team
  • Delegate work to junior staff, overseeing workflow and quality control
  • Support with business development, working with Partners to drive growth strategies

The Successful Applicant

  • ACCA / ACA qualified or part-qualified
  • Qualified by experience also considered
  • A solid, all-rounder skillset across taxation, with a bias towards private tax advisory
  • Proven track record of working across inheritance tax, estate planning, trusts and international tax matters
  • Strong IT skills, with the ability to learn new ones quickly
  • Good report writing and presetation skills
  • Excellent leadership and project management skills
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Professional and reliable, with a strong attention to detail
  • Highly organised to ensure deadlines and budgets are met
  • Able to professionally represent the firm and build a network
