Job Purpose
- Manage a varied tax portfolio, from planning through to completion including liaison and billing.
- Preparation of corporation and personal tax returns.
- Preparation of tax repayment claims and related working papers.
- Provide tax advisory support to clients and colleagues.
- Lead liaison with HMRC, proactively handling queries.
- Deliver tax planning advice from time to time.
- Support with other ad hoc financial assignments for clients.
- Present work and briefings to staff on tax topics.
- Work closely with senior management to help shape the strategic direction of the tax offering.
- Work autonomously whilst ensuring expectations, deadlines, and budgets are being met.
- Build trusted and long lasting client relationships.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure clients are benefitting from all business services.
- Mentor staff through constructive feedback, knowledge sharing, and training opportunities.
- Identify opportunities to introduce and cross-sell company services to the tax portfolio.
- Set an example as a hands-on and supportive manager.

What are we looking for?
- CTA qualified with at least two years' post qualification experience.
- ACCA or ACA qualification is desirable.
- Experienced in a range of corporate and personal tax specialisms.
- Good communication skills and sound attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Self-motivated and highly organised.
- A team player able to work closely with senior team members.
- Constructive support to junior team members.
- A can-do attitude and an eagerness to learn from an experienced team.
