HSE Recruitment is seeking a HSE Contractor for a 6-8 month contract with an engineering and manufacturing business.
The position offers a day rate of £400-480 and is inside IR35, requiring payment through an umbrella company.
The role involves supporting the day-to-day operations of Health & Safety and Environmental management systems, while mentoring an HSE Advisor.
Candidates should have experience in manufacturing, a NEBOSH general certificate, and skills in creating risk assessments and conducting safety inspections.
The contractor is expected to start on April 14th and will work three days in Northampton and two days from home.

HSE Recruitment are looking for a HSE Contractor to join an engineering and manufacturing business on a contract basis for circa 6 months.Key aspects of the contract:

This role sits Inside IR35 and is paid via an umbrella company on a day rate of £400-480 per day.
The role is based in Northampton 3 days a week and 2 days at home.
Length of contract is 6-8 months.
We are looking for someone available to start on 14th April.

You will support with the in the day to day running of the Health & Safety and Environmental management systems, and to act as a primary point of contact, handling day to day issues, and escalating where required. The HSE Manager is leaving and they need extra support to work alongside the HSE Advisor on site. This person will be expected to support, potentially mentor the advisor and provide them with advice and guidance.We are looking for an experienced H&S contract who will provide support and guidance, allowing the Advisor to take the lead so they continue developing. We are also looking for:

Experience in a manufacturing and service organisation, particularly involving electrical / electronic components and equipment.
NEBOSH general certificate.
Knowledge and experience of safety and/or environmental management systems.
Experience of creating risk assessments & method statements and conducting safety inspections of work areas.
Good skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
