- Carrying out hygiene operations including managing the cleaning team, clean down management and following cleaning construction cards.
- Occasional requirement to take swab samples to check cleanliness.
- Ensuring product Food Safety, product integrity, product quality is maintained, and new legislation and codes of practice are implemented.
- Ensure compliance to relevant procedures, accurate completion of relevant documents- any deviation must be reported to Technical Department. Standards include HACCP, CCP/LCP
- The general adherence of working procedures by all staff, and the communication of work instruction to all staff.
- Research ways to increase profitability and lower risk.
- Liaising with supervisors and team leaders to monitor any quality issues to prevent standards being compromised.
- Creating resolutions to any issues that may occur in the factory and implementing this
- Previous experience working within the food manufacturing industry
- Experience supervising or leading a team within the hygiene department
