We are exclusively supporting a niche FMCG Manufacutrer in their search for a QHSE Manager. This is a newly created role to drive positive cultural change in a business turnaround situation. Working closely with the newly appointed MD, the QHSE Manager will deliver a safety-first programme across the Northampton factory and oversee its implementation at 4 other European facilities. With 5 direct reports, you will be a proven people manager with a track record of designing and delivering robust HSE procedures and best in class QMS oversight. The business requires conformance to BRC, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.Core duties include:
  • Lead the Quality and HSE agenda at the site and ensure compliance with relevant country standards
  • Support site quality & manufacturing teams in championing quality & safety culture and driving continued improvement projects
  • Oversee and drive environmental initiatives and compliance with environmental regulations at the sites
  • Drive strategy for improving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to Quality, Safety, and Environmental initiatives
  • Manage budgetary and resource requirements within the Quality and Safety teams
  • Lead capability development and coaching for site-based Quality & Safety Teams
  • Develop operational solutions, including processes, tools, and training to support quality development plans
  • Lead the progression and continued accreditation for third-party audits
  • Address long-term quality performance issues, collaborating with Operational teams on manufacturing capability development and improvement projects
  • Own Risk Assessments and HACCP implementation, coordinating necessary quality control and verification activities
  • Support change control strategy, maintain traceability of concessions, and manage risks and opportunities
