Overview
We seek skilled Forklift Operators to join our customer's team in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
The ideal FLT candidates will possess a strong understanding of warehouse operations and demonstrate proficiency in operating forklifts and handling materials.
This is long-term work with temp-perm opportunities for the right candidates.
You must have a Reach and/or VNA accredited licence, NOT in-house.
Shift patterns are Monday - Friday and 4 on 4 off. Overtime is paid at time and a third after 48 hours.
The work is 90% on the FLT.
* You will be subject to drug and alcohol screening as part of the induction plus random tests periodically*
* The work is in a bonded warehouse containing alcohol*
Duties
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to load and unload materials from lorries.
- Move products throughout the warehouse, ensuring proper placement and storage.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on forklift equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain an organised warehouse environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Utilise the warehouse management system for tracking inventory levels and managing stock movements.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and maintain productivity.
Skills
- Proficient in materials handling techniques, ensuring safe movement of goods.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems for efficient inventory control.
- Capability to load and unload materials safely using forklifts and other equipment.
- Good maths and English skills for accurate inventory tracking and record keeping.
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment is essential.
