Job Description:

Our client is seeking a dedicated and organised Logistics Assistant to join our team at Moulton Park. This role involves ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics and warehouse functions, maintaining accurate stock records, and supporting the efficient movement of goods within our facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of stock levels, conduct regular stock checks, and update inventory systems to ensure precise stock management.
  • Receive and inspect incoming deliveries, verify against purchase orders, and record information in the system.
  • Pick and pack products for customer orders, ensuring correct labelling and packaging for dispatch.
  • Organise and maintain storage areas for optimal space usage and accessibility, including the safe storage of hazardous materials.
  • Replenish stock on shelves and in storage areas, ensuring goods are rotated using the FIFO (First In, First Out) principle.
  • Operate Reach and Flexi forklifts to safely and efficiently move, load, and unload goods, including handling stock in high or difficult-to-reach areas.
  • Coordinate the preparation and dispatch of goods, liaising with couriers and transport companies, preparing shipping documentation, and tracking deliveries.
  • Assist with periodic inventory audits to ensure the accuracy of stock records and identify any discrepancies or losses.
  • Maintain accurate records of goods received, stored, and dispatched, and provide regular reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and other relevant metrics.

Requirements:

  • A valid Reach Truck Licence (in-house licences accepted with proof).
  • A full UK Driving Licence, essential for operating forklifts between two sites on a public road.
  • Proficient IT skills, with the ability to operate a fully computer-based booking system.
  • Willingness to work on a rotational shift pattern.
