Accounts Senior / Client Manager - Accountancy Practice

We’re working with a progressive and well-established Top 100 accountancy firm that’s looking to welcome an experienced practice accountant into their friendly and supportive team in Northampton.

The Role:

As an Accounts Senior or Client Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering a high-quality service to a broad portfolio of clients. You'll work closely with both experienced colleagues and those still in training, supporting client delivery and internal development alike.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders, partnerships, and charities
  • Monthly and quarterly management accounts
  • Preparation and submission of personal and corporate tax returns
  • Building strong client relationships and beginning to manage your own portfolio
  • Planning and overseeing workflow across the team
  • Conducting client meetings and providing proactive advice to add value
  • Supporting the development and training of junior team members
  • Embracing and promoting new technology within the firm
  • Demonstrating commercial awareness and contributing to business performance.

About You:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified or qualified by experience
  • Previous experience in an accountancy practice environment
  • Strong technical knowledge across accounts and tax
  • Confident communicator with a client-first approach
  • Comfortable using modern accounting software and embracing new technology
