Our client is looking to appoint a Charity Team Leader who will manage the day-to-day operation of a support centre. The team at the centre are passionate about supporting those struggling with early-stage mental ill health. They provide support through their unique mental health and wellbeing programmes and deliver within the Community through presentations to schools, businesses, and professional bodies.

The successful postholder will be educated and be able to demonstrate appropriate operational experience.

The ideal candidate will be a can-do individual with an understanding of the charity sector who is keen to make new and important things happen.

You will be working with a small passionate and dedicated team who are focussed and driven on making a difference.

As a Team Leader you will:

  • Provide leadership, advice, and guidance to your team
  • Monitor the progress and qualifying support delivered to service users
  • Ensure business plan targets are achieved, and positive community impact is delivered
  • Be responsible for operational management of the staff team, volunteers and site
  • Effectively recruit, develop, and retain employees (including volunteers)
  • Ensure the highest standards of operational compliance, maintaining all legal and due diligence documentation as required
  • Develop your team, addressing any individual development/performance needs, setting both individual and team objectives and undertaking annual appraisals
  • Provide safeguarding advice and guidance as required
  • Promote effective communication channels including facilitating regular team meetings, sharing feedback, and highlighting best practice
  • Manage external project specific work
  • Oversee and develop partnership working with other agencies and providers

As a Team Leader you will need:

  • Experience of managing and supporting a team
  • Experience within the charity sector
  • Experience of supporting vulnerable people
  • Knowledge of confidentiality and data protection requirements
  • To be able to work without direct supervision, prioritising effectively to deal with competing demands

Contracted Hours: 30 hours per week Full Time
