Position: Cover Supervisor
Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire
Contract Type: Day to day, short term.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Cover Supervisor to join our team in Northampton supporting schools on a day to day / short term basis. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in supporting teaching staff and ensuring the smooth running of lessons during teacher absences. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to make a positive impact in an educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising classes during the absence of teaching staff, ensuring that students remain on task and engaged.
- Providing general classroom support, including managing student behavior and maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Assisting with the delivery of pre-set lesson plans and materials.
- Offering support to students who may need additional help or encouragement.
- Ensuring students follow school policies and maintaining good order in the classroom.
- Supporting with administrative tasks where required.
Key Requirements:
- A passion for working with young people and supporting their learning.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage student behavior effectively.
- A positive, proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Experience working in a school or educational setting is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to different teaching environments.
- An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.
