We are recruiting for a Lunchtime Supervisor for a welcoming and inclusive school that values the well-being of all its students. This is a vital role in ensuring that the pupils enjoy a safe, enjoyable, and well-managed lunchtime, enabling them to return to class ready for the afternoon.
The Role:
As a Lunchtime Supervisor, you will oversee the children during their lunch break, supporting them while they eat, play, and socialize. You will promote positive behavior, encourage good manners, and ensure the lunchtime environment is safe and enjoyable for all pupils. You will also work closely with other staff members to maintain order and assist children as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise pupils in the dining hall and playground during lunchtime.
- Ensure children follow school rules and maintain a positive atmosphere.
- Promote good table manners and encourage healthy eating habits.
- Provide support for children with additional needs or those who require assistance.
- Assist with resolving minor disputes and promoting positive social interaction.
- Ensure the lunchtime environment remains safe and tidy.
- Work collaboratively with other lunchtime supervisors and school staff.
- Support the general welfare of pupils during the lunchtime period.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with children, ideally in a school or childcare setting.
- A friendly, approachable, and patient manner.
- Strong communication skills with both children and adults.
- Ability to handle conflicts calmly and fairly.
- Enthusiasm for working with children and supporting their well-being.
