Minibus Driver - Northampton based Education Establishment

Enhanced DBS Required

Fixed Term Contract to 20th June 2025 then Permanent from Sept 2025 37 weeks per year

30 hours per week Monday to Friday 0600 -0900 then 1530 - 1830

£11.59 per hour

We are working with a well known education establishment in Northampton and are currently recruiting for a Minibus Driver to transport students working on the door to door routes. To be considered for this role you have to have a full clean driving licence with category D1 entitlement. The role will involve the following

  • To safely and efficiently transport students who use the home to transport service.
  • To manage student conduct and behaviour in line with college policies
  • Check the validity of student bus passes
  • To carry out vehicle checks everyday to ensure the safety of the vehicle and report any defects to the transport coordinator

The ideal person will have the following experience and attributes

  • Have a clean driving licence with D1 entitlement and will have ideally driven minibuses or coaches
  • Experience of working with children, young or vulnerable adults
  • A caring but confident, considerate and helpful personality
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • To be able to protect and safeguard the students
  • Have an enhanced DBS
