Purpose Of The Role:

To support the branch in operating an effective outbound operation in response to customer requests and network standards in a cost effective and efficient manner. To maximise profit whilst not compromising quality and service by providing effective solutions to FTL, LTL and groupage requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Correct despatch of outbound vehicles including hazardous, customs and support the freight planning where necessary
Effective management of loading to meet customer requirements and department KPIs
Correct administration and monitoring of outbound operation and use of various Dachser Tools (including but not limited to Domino, Outbound Planning Tool, CustomsHub)
Meeting the designated department KPIs
Cost accrual and processing of purchase invoices
Effective communication with other departments in Northampton and the UK as well as other branches in the Network ensuring good working relations
Ensure compliance of standard operating procedures in daily processes and maintain quality standards of the company.
Ensure that profit is maximised at all opportunities without compromising quality
To efficiently respond to customer requests for charter and groupage services to provide cost effective and efficient solutions
Ensure that all reporting procedures are complied with and that all paperwork is accurate and efficiently handled
Correct administration and processing of vehicle despatch and provision of appropriate documents (including but not limited to CMRs, hazardous paperwork, partner paperwork and customs paperwork
Printing and processing of customs documentation including use of Sequoia, GVMS and any further external or internal customs programmes
Processing of customer invoices and documentations for correct forwarding of export shipments
Correct shipment administration according to any internal and external compliance requirements
Skills & Experience:

Transport legislation
Good educational background
Good geographical knowledge
Excellent IT skills
Ability to remain calm under pressure and to organise workload to maximise personal efficiency
Ability to solve problems and good analytical skills
Resilience to working in pressurised environment
Flexibility High level of accuracy & attention to detail
Ability to work on own initiative and to take responsibility and ownership to deliver quality service to the customer
Experience of working in a fast paced and dynamic environment
