Planner
  • Location: Wellingborough, Hybrid (Remote and Office)
  • Reports to: Operations Manager

We are seeking a Planner who is adept at creating effective and efficient plans, ensuring a challenging but achievable schedule is met. This role is ideal for someone who is self-driven, a problem solver, and has excellent communication skills.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Manage and update labour and transport schedules.
  • Update planned work register
  • Manage and update project progress planner.
  • Organise inductions and book deliveries/collections.
  • Book third-party labour, transport, and inspections.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and contract managers daily, both in writing and verbally.
  • Attend daily and weekly progress meetings.
  • Ensure the correct paperwork is received, filed for each section of a project, and uploaded to SAP.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experienced project planner, comfortable using CRM/ERP systems.
  • NVQ in Business Administration is desirable but not essential.
  • Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong budget control skills.
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and adopt logical thinking to overcome problems.
  • Excellent time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to review and analyse data effectively.
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to identify cost improvements and minimise external labour and transport costs through effective planning.
