We are seeking a self-motivated, organized professional with exceptional communication and leadership skills. The successful candidate will be instrumental in managing QHSSE standards across the business, conducting audits, driving compliance, and implementing innovative strategies. This is a full-time role with flexibility, typically based at the company’s Northamptonshire office and requiring travel to various sites as needed.

Role Overview

The QHSSE Manager promotes and supports a culture of Quality, Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (QHSSE) excellence across the business. This includes working closely with operational teams to ensure compliance with policies, standards, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain QHSSE policies and procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop safety plans.
  • Perform inspections and audits to ensure compliance with standards like ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and BRCGS.
  • Provide training on safety practices and support policy changes.
  • Act as the main point of contact for health, safety, and environmental issues.
  • Investigate incidents and oversee corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with site teams to foster a positive safety culture.
  • Liaise with external authorities as needed.
  • Prepare and review regular reports to track improvements.

Requirements

  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of QHSSE standards, including ISO and BRCGS requirements.
  • Experience: At least 5 years in a similar role, with expertise in strategy development, audits, and compliance.
  • Qualifications: NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent, IOSH/IEMA Environmental certificate, and ISO/BRC auditing experience.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills, with IT proficiency.

  • Must be willing to travel abroad occasionally for work.
