Remedial Electrician
Location: Northampton/Milton Keynes - 45 hours per week
Our client is one of the UK's leading providers of electrical safety services, inspection, testing and fixed installations. They offer legislation and technical support for their customers to ensure that all legal requirements comply with the law is always maintained and they are looking for a Remedial Electrician to work across a selection of commercial and industrial sites.
Due to several large projects wins they are looking to expand the business and they are now looking for a Remedial Electrician in the North East area of the UK..
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work as part of a team to carry out Electrical Remedial Works for a range of clients.
You should possess a good working knowledge of current electrical legislation, regulations and standards and have a proven track record of working in 24-hour operational environments.
The role requires a person with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Good IT skills would be advantageous but not essential as training will be provided to produce legible, accurate and concise reports. Successful applicants will be required to work anywhere within the UK and should therefore expect to work away from their home address on an occasional basis.
Remedial Electrician Requirements:
Extensive knowledge of single and three phase fault finding and 1st time fixes.
Good sound electrical knowledge, for testing and installation works
Extensive knowledge of single and three phase fault finding and 1st time fixes
To carry out electrical repairs / minor works on variety types of LV installations
To assess and order parts and equipment necessary for individual tasks
To liaise with the Remedials/Operations Supervisor for planned and routine maintenance programme and reporting procedures
To maintain records of all work, and that required paperwork is completed and sent in within the defined timescales
Desirable Skills:
- Electrical Installation (NVQ Level 3 / 236)

- Distribution boards
- IPAF
- PASMA
- First Aid
Salary & Benefits:
- Full time position with an immediate start
- Salary Bracket: £42,000 - £46,000
- 45 hours a week (8 hours on site plus travel), progression opportunities to Senior Remedial Electrician are available.
