Reporting into the SEND Service Manager, you will be overseeing a team of 6-8 EHCP Officers.
Your Role as Senior EHCP Officer:-
- Lead and coordinate SEN casework within a geographical area - including supervision and management of specialist caseworkers and EHCP officers
- Finalise Education Health and Care plans in co-production with parents/carers and young people, liaising with education settings, health agencies and social care as necessary
- Coordinate Annual Review processes monitoring progress, amending Education Health and Care plans and resourcing as necessary
- Contribute to the review and development of policy and practice for SEND
- Carrying out the casework associated with the statutory assessment process
Your previous experience as Senior EHCP Officer:-
- An excellent working knowledge of SEND & relevant legislation
- An ability to work to deadlines
- Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills
- You must have proven experience within a LA setting
- You will have both early years and PfA experience
