Senior EHCP Officer
3-month interim contract to start January 2025

Reporting into the SEND Service Manager, you will be overseeing a team of 6-8 EHCP Officers.

Your Role as Senior EHCP Officer:-

  • Lead and coordinate SEN casework within a geographical area - including supervision and management of specialist caseworkers and EHCP officers
  • Finalise Education Health and Care plans in co-production with parents/carers and young people, liaising with education settings, health agencies and social care as necessary
  • Coordinate Annual Review processes monitoring progress, amending Education Health and Care plans and resourcing as necessary
  • Contribute to the review and development of policy and practice for SEND
  • Carrying out the casework associated with the statutory assessment process


Your previous experience as Senior EHCP Officer:-

  • An excellent working knowledge of SEND & relevant legislation
  • An ability to work to deadlines
  • Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills
  • You must have proven experience within a LA setting
  • You will have both early years and PfA experience
