Telesales - Merchant Services Payments

Up to £30k Salary £50k OTE

Our Client is fast growing multi-award winning Payments Company providing Debit/Credit Card Processing Facilities to Smal Businesses, Retailers and Charities.

They are looking for energetic and motivated graduates to join our small but friendly internal sales team based in Moulton Park, Northampton.

Job Purpose & Objectives

A primary focus will be prospecting for new business and delivery of sales, and profit targets within the Charity Sector. You will build a pipeline and manage through to closure. Respond in a timely manner to inbound and self-generated leads and deliver sales, distribution and profit targets.

To achieve consistently high standards of communication and administration whilst working in a pro-active manner with other departments to deal with issues and follow up requests through to completion.

Specific emphasis will be on:

  • Generating a new pipeline of customers, with a focus on Charities and Corporates supporting Charities
  • Responding to all inbound leads directly from potential customers or partners.
  • Liaising with the customer and internal teams to get account applications fully completed, signed and submitted to relevant acquirer.
  • Ensuring the correct product is ordered and relevant contract signed.
  • Providing a smooth handover to Customer Service.

Main Activities

The main duties involve the pro-active development of new business within company defined channels with a particular emphasis on Charity. The specific areas include:

  • To proactively cold call and sign up new business opportunities
  • To rapidly establish an effective pipeline of prospective merchants
  • To keep the required systems and reporting tools updated on the progress of all activity
  • Delivery of sales, distribution and profit targets
  • Full knowledge of the Groups products and services to best position these for customers and Operations
  • To identify prospective merchants needs and deliver professional presentations in order to ensure sufficient signings to deliver sales targets.
  • To act on sales leads in a timely manner and mange through to successful completion.
  • To maximise revenue from each sale
  • To generate referrals from merchants
  • To complete all required paperwork accurately
  • To maintain a good working relationship, and open communications across the business
  • Progress chase and monitor status of applications through to handover to Customer Services
  • To Liaise with customer service on account handover, customer set up and order status.

Special Conditions

The role holder may be required to travel between sites, or for meetings with staff, customers or suppliers this may be by car or public transport.

Linked to the specific needs of the company and customer base, the job role holder may from time to time be required to operate to a flexible work-time schedule, working in response to peak work-load periods and the requirement to achieve sales targets.

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, results orientated with a positive outlook.
  • Good time management, administration, planning and organisational skills.
  • Good working knowledge and experience of using email, Word Powerpoint and Excel.

Ideally

  • Good level of education, Grad would be nice...
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar role OR previous Charity experience and strong network of contacts.
