Health & Safety Advisor (4 Days Per Week)

Circa 3 Month Contract | 300 per day (outside IR35)

We've partnered with a leading mechanical manufacturing company to recruit a Health and Safety Advisor. In this role, you'll be involved in a variety of hands-on initiatives, including conducting risk assessments, managing safety actions, and overseeing HSE-related administrative tasks. You'll also manage the health and safety management system, ensure it remains current, and serve as the main point of contact for all HSE matters.

Responsibilities for the Health & Safety Advisor:

• Carrying out HSE-related administrative tasks
• Conducting health and safety risk assessments, operating procedures and training materials as part of a new and improved health and safety programme, managing actions
• Assist with the maintenance of the health and safety management system
• Work closely with the other shop floor staff across the company providing support where needed to ensure the projects are delivered on time

The successful Health & Safety Advisor will have:

• Proven experience in a similar a consultancy role, ideally from within the manufacturing, warehousing, or a mechanical industry
• Relevant health and safety qualifications (eg. NEBOSH or NCRQ qualified)
• Experience with management systems, writing risk assessments, policies and procedures
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
