Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Head of Health, Safety, Quality, Environmental (HSQE) & Certification. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the continuous development of processes and systems necessary to minimise risk to the health and safety of employees and minimise the cost of associated losses. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a HSQE Strategic Plan relevant to the company's sites and business objectives. This role requires travel between multiple sites and offers flexible working hours.

What you'll do:

As the Head of Health, Safety, Quality, Environmental (HSQE) & Certification, your role will be pivotal in leading the continuous development of processes and systems that prioritise employee health and safety. You will be responsible for developing a strategic plan that aligns with the company's business objectives. Your excellent leadership skills will enable you to deliver motivated regional teams that meet high standards of achievement. Your commitment to safety will be evident as you develop policies and procedures that promote a safe work environment. Your analytical skills will be utilised in formulating budgeting mechanisms for all areas of responsibility.

  • Lead the continuous development of processes and systems to minimise risk to employee health and safety
  • Develop and implement a HSQE Strategic Plan relevant to the company's sites and business objectives
  • Address HSQE incidents, non-conformances, customer complaints and risks, completing assessments and investigations where necessary
  • Deliver motivated regional teams, setting clear KPI's to ensure high standards of achievements & delivery
  • Develop and implement all Health and Safety associated policies and procedures
  • Embed safe work policies, procedures, and practices, making cultural improvements where necessary
  • Develop systems to measure, monitor and audit safety performance
  • Formulate budgeting mechanisms for all areas of responsibility to ensure departmental activities are within budgeted cost parameters

Your qualifications in Management Systems auditing along with NEBOSH & IOSH certifications demonstrate your expertise in this field. Your people management experience coupled with your ability to build high performing regional teams sets you apart. Your excellent Excel, planning and analytical skills will be crucial in this role. Your ability to analyse data and identify issues, trends and patterns will be key to your success.
