Macildowie are working with a forward thinking Public Sector organisation that are seeking a highly professional and strategic People Partner to join their team on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will provide both strategic and operational HR support to key stakeholders within the organisation. You will play a crucial role in coaching managers and leaders on people management, leadership, and development, enhancing the performance of staff in alignment with the organisations and People Strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice and guidance on all aspects of people management, in line with best practices.
  • Act as the key point of escalation for complex employee relations cases, including absence, disciplinary actions, grievances, and performance management.
  • Engage in developing people plans that support organisational improvement plans, focusing on talent management, succession planning, workforce/resource planning, and learning and development.
  • Lead, advise, coach, and support senior leaders in the implementation of change initiatives across the organisation.
  • Lead the implementation of initiatives, systems, and people programs in schools and across the Trust.
  • Support the Head of People in policy development, consultation, and implementation.
  • Develop, deliver, and evaluate People Management Training & Development programs.
  • Understand and manage reward and recognition schemes, including job evaluation and pay structures, equal pay, and gender pay reporting.
  • Stay updated with changing legislation and statutory requirements.

Key Requirements:

  • Significant experience in a similar HR role
  • Strong understanding of HR practices, including employee relations, change management, and people development.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and IT skills.
  • CIPD qualification (or working towards) preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, with a proactive and solution-focused approach.
