This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic IT support team as a 1st Line Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing customer support operations. This position is ideal for someone passionate about technology and customer service and eager to assist diverse clientele and support internal teams.
Day-to-day of the role:- Handle incoming calls to the Service Desk, effectively prioritising and escalating service requests to ensure swift resolution.
- Provide comprehensive support to our customers by managing technical cases and keeping clients updated on progress.
- Support the Technical Team by monitoring client IT systems through our monitoring software and ensuring that client requests are handled efficiently.
- Act as a point of contact for the Service Desk, supporting our workshop, field, 2nd line, and 3rd line teams in daily operations.
- Escalate issues to appropriate teams in a timely manner when necessary.
- Proven experience in an IT helpdesk support role.
- Familiarity with IT systems including Microsoft Windows 10, Office 2019/2022, Office 365, Windows Server 2019/2022, and Exchange Server 2019.
- Experience in setting up and supporting mobile devices.
- Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to resolving client issues.
- Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Relevant IT qualifications; GCSEs in Maths and English or equivalent.
- UK driving license is preferred.
