Professional Services Engineer - Hybrid Infrastructure

We are seeking a highly skilled Professional Services Engineer with a strong focus on Hybrid Infrastructure and security to join our team. This role involves designing and implementing solutions that are both on-premises and cloud-based, ensuring they meet industry security standards and best practices.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Design and deploy hybrid infrastructure solutions on-premises and in Private/Public clouds, ensuring scalability for future needs.
  • Develop and enforce security best practices across all infrastructure layers, including network, storage, compute, virtualisation, and cloud.
  • Engage with clients to understand their security requirements and business goals, conduct security assessments, and compliance checks.
  • Utilise automation techniques through scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python) to optimise deployment processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect secure, reliable, and scalable solutions.
  • Deploy hybrid identity solutions, including Active Directory, Entra ID, SSO, and MFA integrations.
  • Design Zero Trust architecture solutions and implement least-privilege access models.
  • Integrate security technologies such as SIEM, DLP, MFA, and IAM systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience as a Hybrid Solutions Engineer or similar role, with hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing both on-premises and cloud solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of Azure/M365 services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and on-premises infrastructure including Windows Server environments and VMware virtualisation.
  • Hands-on experience with security frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, BASH, or other relevant tools.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts and configurations.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
