Core experience for this Development Manager role:
- Proven experience in leading and mentoring software development teams, including Power BI specialists.
- Strong technical expertise in Power BI, and data visualisation, with additional knowledge of Java and JEE technologies.
- A track record of managing full-lifecycle software development projects in complex environments.
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles and Agile or Scrum project management methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills for bridging technical concepts with business needs.
- Previous experience in the financial services industry is highly desirable.
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary development team, including Power BI Developers and software engineers specialising in other technologies.
- Oversee the entire software development lifecycle: planning, design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather and define project requirements, goals, and timelines.
- Drive the delivery of high-quality software and analytics solutions that exceed customer expectations.
- Communicate project progress, risks, and outcomes effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
